Q. What is medical-supermarket.com?
A. Think of it as a specialist healthcare shopping mall, a place where you can buy anything you need to run your GP practice from disposable instruments to insurance.

When you buy something from medical-supermarket.com you are in fact buying from the supplier, we just facilitate the order and the payment, making your life easier. There are no membership fees for using our site, the price you see is the price you pay. 

Q. How do I get an account?
A. You will need to click “Register Now” and click “New Customer Application”. Please fill in your details and submit. We will process your application, which should take between 24-48 hours, and upon successful registration, we will let you know your unique “Customer Authentication Code” which will allow you to then register as many users within your practice to use the site with their own user names and passwords. Once you have done this, you will be free to use the site as often as you need 

Q. How do I order?

Q. What if I want to buy a product that is not on the site?
A. Not a problem, drop us a line at sales@medical-supermarket.com letting us know exactly what you need and we will endeavour to get it for you and add it to the site for future orders. Remember we will always negotiate on your behalf to get you the best prices.

Q. What If I want to buy from a supplier not on your site?
A. All of the suppliers on our site have been appropriately vetted so that they meet/exceed our expectations on aspects of service, quality and price. If you have a great relationship with an existing supplier, please let us know as we would be delighted to include them on the site, providing they meet our requirements. This way we can continue to save you time and money.

Q. What do you mean one invoice?
A. When you order products from medical-supermarket.com, regardless of how many different suppliers you order from and how many categories, we will only send you one invoice.

Q. Who do I pay?
A. Medical-supermarket.com will issue you an invoice and you are required to pay us within 21 days of the date of invoice. You will also have the ability to pay by credit card should you wish. A small credit card fee of 3% will apply to the total cost of the transaction.

Q. Who delivers my order?
A. The products will be delivered by the supplier’s directly. If you placed one order but bought from 5 different suppliers, you will receive 5 different orders.

Q. What happens if I order the wrong thing?
A. Please let us know the moment you realise and we will see what we can do. As we facilitate orders it will be up to the supplier you have ordered from to determine whether the order can be cancelled.

Q. What happens if I order something and it turns up broken?
A. Please let us know the moment you realise and we will contact the supplier on your behalf. As we facilitate orders it will be up to the supplier you have ordered from to determine whether a replacement product will be issued or a credit note raised.

Q. What happens if I need to return something as I don’t need it?
A. Returns are governed by the supplier’s individual terms and conditions. Please let us know if you need to return something and we will contact the supplier on your behalf.

Q. There are a couple of practices close to ours which are also using your site. Can you help us set up a buying group?
A. Absolutely. Buying Groups are a specialty of ours and we have the key skills and resources required to set one up tailored to exactly what you need. Q. How do you make your money?
A. It is our job to get you access to the best prices in the market. We then add a small percentage onto each product to recover our fees. An example is that if you are buying a pen for £0.20 and we can get it for £0.06 we will sell it to you for £0.08. We pay the supplier £0.06 and hold £0.02 as our fee.
