What procedures do I follow when ordering a new Fridge?
Firstly, it’s important to understand which type of fridge you require; whether it’s for medical or pharmaceutical use. Then there are lots of different volumes to choose from, which is measured in Litres. These range from a mere 26L to a whopping 544L, so make sure to check the measurements as you don’t want to end up ordering something which is not going to fit in your surgery!
There are two types of fridge door, Glass and Solid. The solid door option tends to be cheaper.
The three main brands to choose from are
- Labcold,
- LEC
It does not matter which model your old fridge is, you can go for an entirely different brand without any implications.
Will someone come and collect my old Fridge?
Yes of course thats not a problem but charges etc do depend on which manufacture you buy from. Please see below...
- LEC: Will happily come and collect your old fridge, free of charge, when a new one is ordered through them. It does not matter if the model of your old fridge is different, as long as the collection is arranged during the two weeks after delivery! Delivery and collection of Fridges will usually be at separate times, so please don't be alarmed when your delivery takes place and the couriers drive off without your old fridge. If you would like a collection please request this with our Customer Loyalty Team.
- LABCOLD: There will be a charge for collection of your old fridge. To find out a cost please inform our Customer Loyalty Team of the make and model of your old fridge.
Does my new Fridge come with a Guarantee?
Absolutely. Again, these do vary:
- LEC: 2 years (this can be extended annually after the initial two years)
- LABCOLD: 5 years
