Disposable sterile wound probe to aid wound assessment.

Designed to enable measurement of wound depth, undermining, size and shape. If the opening is big enough, the wound can be probed around the edges and cavities, the depth and size noted by the cm markers.

If any resistance is felt against the tissues no pressure should be applied and it should be inserted no further. If the wound opening is smaller than the width of the probe a different form of assessment should be used and the probe should not be inserted.
