Which disposable curtains do I need?
Disposable antimicrobial curtains save on laundry and help you keep on top of infection control. Get the size and fitting right first time with this quick guide.
The short answer
- Straight or L-shaped rail (one long side and one short side of the bed): choose Standard (4.5m x 2m).
- U-shaped rail (two long sides and one short side): choose Large (7.5m x 2m).
- Match the fitting (U-Fit, C-Fit or E-Fit) to your track and hooks. Not sure? Send us a photo of your hooks.
- Buy spares. Many practices keep enough for twice their number of rooms, so soiled curtains can be swapped straight away.

How do I know which fitting I need?
Look at the hooks or runners on your existing curtain track. If you’re not sure, email a photo to help@medical-supermarket.com and we’ll match it for you.
How many curtains should we buy?
At least one per cubicle or room, plus spares. Many practices buy enough for twice their rooms so a curtain can be replaced as soon as it’s soiled.
Does the antimicrobial treatment wash or wipe off?
The Fantex treatment is applied during manufacture. You can wipe away everyday marks, but replace any curtain that’s soiled.
