i-gel Supraglottic Airway Size 2.5 – Large Paediatric (25–35kg)
Want to know more?
The i-gel Supraglottic Airway Size 2.5 from Intersurgical is a single-use, latex and PVC free, second generation supraglottic airway for use in anaesthesia and resuscitation. Made from a medical grade thermoplastic elastomer, i-gel is designed to create a non-inflatable, anatomical seal of the pharyngeal, laryngeal and perilaryngeal structures whilst avoiding compression trauma.
Size 2.5 is designed for large paediatric patients weighing 25–35kg, bridging the gap between the paediatric and adult sizes. It is a useful addition to any resuscitation kit that needs to cover older children, with a gastric channel and integral bite block built in.
Each i-gel is supplied in a fully recyclable protective cradle or cage pack, which protects the device in transit and ensures it maintains its anatomical shape. i-gel is available in seven sizes, from neonate to large adult.

Who is the i-gel Size 2.5 for?
Size 2.5 is designed for large paediatric patients weighing 25–35kg.
Does the i-gel need cuff inflation?
No. i-gel has a non-inflatable cuff made from a soft gel-like material, so there is no cuff inflation step.
Does the i-gel Size 2.5 have a gastric channel?
Yes. The gastric channel allows for suctioning, passing of a nasogastric tube and venting.
Is the i-gel latex free and single use?
Yes. i-gel is a single-use, latex and PVC free device.
What is the difference between an i-gel and a laryngeal mask airway (LMA)?
Both are supraglottic airways. A traditional laryngeal mask uses an inflatable cuff, whereas i-gel uses a non-inflatable cuff designed to create an anatomical seal without cuff inflation.
