Get your practice winter-ready
Winter brings more patients, more infections and more pressure on your team. A little planning now keeps your shelves stocked and your rooms ready through to spring.
The short answer
- Stock up before demand peaks. Masks, wipes, gloves and hand sanitiser all get busier as winter bugs arrive.
- Check your assessment kit. Every room needs a working thermometer and pulse oximeter, with spare probe covers and batteries.
- Order early for Christmas. Deliveries slow down over the bank holidays, so place your orders in early December.
- Keep a buffer. Holding a few weeks of your fastest-moving items covers delays and staff absence.
